You can create tasks and include due dates during task creation, as well as edit existing tasks to update the due date. This article will show you how to set dates on tasks in the Workast web app.
Setting a due date during task creation:
- Click on "Create a new task."
- Type your task title, then click on the calendar icon to open the date panel.
- Click on the date. This will open a small calendar. You can either use the calendar to select your due date, clicking on the date and using the arrows to scroll back and forth between months, or just type over the date entry.
- To add a due time, click on the "Select time" field. Type in the due time. Hit enter.
- Click "Save" to complete your date choice.
- If you would like to add an assignee at the same time, click on the people icon. Otherwise, click on the task name and then hit enter to save the task.
- You can also set a due date during task creation by typing the due date in the task title.
- Type your task title, then add the due date (and time if applicable) then hit enter to create the task. For example, if you wanted a task due on Monday, October 19th at 3:00pm, you could type "Mon 3pm" after the task title, or "Oct 19 15:00" or "10/19 3pm." Workast will understand the same natural language formats for time that Slack understands.
