In Slack, you can leave a comment on a task in three ways:
- By using the drop-down message menu immediately after a task is created
- By using the drop-down message menu after typing the /todo list command in a channel
- By using the "Add comment" or "Reply" buttons with task notifications in your Workast channel.
Commenting on a task immediately after task creation
- Click on the ellipses (three dots) underneath the task creation message, then select "Add comment."
- Type your comment in the text box. Click "Send" when you are done to add the comment to the task. You will receive a confirmation that the comment has been saved.
- Users following the task will receive a notification in their Workast channel, informing them about the comment.
- Type /todo list to bring up the list of open tasks in the channel.
- Click on the ellipses (three dots) next to the task, then select "Add comment."
- Type your comment in the text box. Click "Send" when you are done to add the comment to the task. You will receive a confirmation that the comment has been saved.
- When you receive a notification about a task in your Workast channel, there is an "Add Comment" button available for you to add a comment.
- Click the "Add Comment" button, then type your comment. Click "Send" to confirm and save your comment.
